My (26F) boyfriend (27M) invited his girl friend back up to our place after they had dinner for wine while I was sleeping. How would you feel in this situation?

My boyfriend went out for dinner with a girl friend of his. She lives out of town so he doesn’t often get to see her when he’s in town for work. You could call her his acquaintance at this point as they’ve only met a few times since 2023 when they became friends again after not speaking for some time.

I amended the red flag alert I posted yesterday as I felt this issue resolve itself.

So back to today, he called her up last night to see if she’d like to get dinner when he’s in town for work. She was free and he was free so they made plans.

He asked if I wanted to come along but I said no as we’d been doing fine on our own and I wanted to give him some space to spend time with his friend.

So dinner rolls around and he said she wanted to hang back at his place and have another glass of wine as I was asleep.

I found out because she messaged me. I’m not sure how I feel about this as he also didn’t message me about it. They’ve only met a couple of times and I’ve never met her before so I’m not sure why she felt comfortable reaching out to me. I guess she probably thinks I’m a ghost already as I’ve never had a conversation with her before.

I feel weird that my partner would have someone over to our place without mentioning it to me. I don’t think it was a romantic thing but maybe? I’d rather communicate openly about these things and give a heads up before having someone over.

How would you feel in this situation?

TLDR: My boyfriend had dinner with an acquaintance of his while I was in town and she messaged me last night to say she came back to our place for a drink with him after dinner when I was asleep.
