My (26f) fiancé (27M) just told me he does not like black men. He is the only black person in his friendgroup but thinks that other black men are not good looking. He is planning a wedding that frequently imagines the father of my child to be a white man.

My fiancé and I have been together for 3 years. We are engaged and have a will to have kids one day.

I am white/caucasian and he is black/African American. To my knowledge, he does not have a prejudice against other races, but has strong ties to his black culture. He grows his hair out and practices hyghieene to prevent the spread of STDs. He is the only black person in his friend group.

I then heard him make statements saying he did not like black men, that they all look ugly. I did not know how to react. He was very clear and direct, almost matter of fact, in his opinion.

I asked him why he did not have a girlfriend growing up (he had none) and he said that there just weren’t any attractive black girls around. At present time, he has a MAGA (make america great again) Tucker Carlson fans as friends. They are all both racists and nationalist.

This is concerning to me. I have never in my life met someone who held such views and was in a romantic relationship with someone who held such views. Should I be concerned?
