Why do you think this is the case? Is it just a pointless cycle? Does the future belong to us to make or is it inevitable?

My take on this is that everything that happens will eventually happen again because we as humans don’t really change all that much. Our societies, empires, and civilisations rise and fall and each time we seem to go through the same phases. This is because humans have been around for hundreds of thousands of years and it’s only recently that we’ve been able to look back on our past as a whole. It’s only recently that we have had a global society and it’s only recently that we’ve been able to share ideas. So our societies have had to go through many different phases in order to evolve.

And the people running our world right now have likely read history and are trying to learn from it, and so they’re trying to do everything they can to make sure that what happened in the past doesn’t happen again. But it will happen again. There’s always going to be winners and losers and there’s always going to be conflict. And it’s not just societies that go through cycles, it’s everything. Everything is constantly changing and everything goes through phases. And our world is full of cycles. The seasons, the suns cycle, our life cycle, and so on.

So we will have a future, but will we have a future that is any good? Will we learn from our past and have a better tomorrow? I hope so. But I doubt it.
