Does being a "real" man or woman matter?

I see so much discussion lately of whether a person is a "real man" or a "real woman". In many of these discussions the people making these statements don't even have the context of what these people are about.<br><br>Is it even important to consider if a person is a "real" man or woman, or is this just another arbitrary societal standard?
