This is more of just a curiosity post, but I’m curious to know how other people perceive the idea of a life purpose.

I personally don’t really believe that it exists in the way that the general public thinks it does, and I don’t think it’s something you need to find, or that you need to have one in order for your life to be fulfilled.

I do however think that, for a lot of us, our life purpose will be a feeling of fulfillment and happiness that we find by contributing to something bigger than ourselves, like a partner, a child, a career, a community, etc.

So I think our purpose is more of a byproduct of our lives rather than something we need to chase down and figure out, and I think most people’s purposes will be different than what society deems a “good life purpose”.

I would also say that life is too complicated and unpredictable to ever know for sure what our purpose is in the grand scheme of things.

So what are your thoughts?
