My question isn't so much why we can't all live in peace, love, harmony, but why do people say "this is the way the world is" when it's so clearly not the best it can be.

I mean I understand why it's hard for people to change their ways, and I get why people don't want to get rid of all the problems and just make the world a better place.

I feel like if there was a better way of living, everyone would want to live that way, and everyone would want to be like that. So why is it that people don't want to change?

I mean I feel like we have the capacity to make the world a better place, and we should just do it, but I guess that's just my opinion.
