This is a rough estimate, but in my opinion, most of the good philosophers were born in Europe and a lot of the bad philosophers were born in the United States.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>It's hard to explain, but there's something about European culture that breeds great thinkers, while American culture breeds average thinkers who can be easily swayed by whatever the masses want them to be swayed by.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>I don't mean to offend Americans, but the fact that American philosophy is not nearly as respected as European philosophy is a pretty clear indication that there may be something wrong with the culture.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Now I'll likely be downvoted into oblivion, but maybe it can start a good discussion.
