It’s really common that people will refuse to help homeless people and claim that it would make them dependent on others. I just don’t see how this makes any sense, and I am wondering if you do.

It’s common to see people on the internet claim that they would rather die than accept government aid. But why would giving someone money or a house make them dependent on others? If a person gets a house or money to buy food, it means that they get to keep their money, right? That means they can do whatever they want with it, and it isn’t like the government will come after them and take it away, because that is what they do with taxes anyways.

If it is free, then the government shouldn’t take it away anyways. If you don’t believe that, then it means that they have a right to take your property and you don’t, which doesn’t make sense.

It is also illogical to say that they would rather die than accept government aid, because what if the government aid is the only thing that they have access to, and they refuse to take it?

If someone is homeless and they get a house for free, does that really make them dependent on others? I don’t think so. It means that they get to have a house to live in, and they get to keep their money. They are still free to make their own choices and decisions.
