Why are modern people so obsessed with "moral superiority"?

The only reason we are so obsessed with being "morally superior" is because we don't want to die. If you don't die you don't exist. It is not possible to be a "good person" while existing. It is also impossible to not exist while being a good person.<br><br>There is no point in doing anything, ever. You will die. There is no point in living either. You will die. There is no point in doing something because you want something. You will die and the things you want won't even exist.<br><br>Why don't we just accept it? Why do we want to do something because we want it, and not do something because we don't want it? Because we don't want to die. Because we want something to exist before we die. Because we want to exist.
