Imagine two people: **Alex** and **Brock**. Alex is highly skilled at many things, including martial arts, engineering, cooking, and writing, while Brock is incredibly purpose-driven. He's convinced that his life's purpose is to be a great novelist. He has written a few short stories and has a novel in progress but isn't nearly as skilled in those areas as Alex is in his. Despite their similarities, their paths in life have taken different directions. Alex is more of an "instrumental" person; he is very good at a variety of things and uses these skills to achieve his goals in life. Brock, on the other hand, is more about the "sense of purpose." He knows exactly what he's supposed to do with his life, which is write great stories and novels. Even if it takes him longer than he would like, he believes his purpose is clear.

Which one of them do you prefer to be?

Which one do you think is better?
