Would you want to live in a society where you have the option to pay to not do military service?

For example, if the military service in your country is 3 years, you could pay, let’s say 1 million dollars, and instead of 3 years of military service, you would pay the 1 million. This way, not everyone has to do the same amount of military service. People who have more money would have more freedom. This could also create more social classes. Rich people could get out of more military service, and not necessarily be a burden to others. <br><br>The idea came from a conversation I had with a friend, who mentioned that in some countries you can pay to not do the draft.
