Something is seriously wrong in our community

For my entire time here on this subchambers, I've always thought that everyone was really smart and wonderful in the way they run their community. It's never felt off, the moderators have always been great and the users have always seemed to be so nice and willing to help one another out. However, I've always been fairly reclusive and rarely make any friends, so I just trusted the fact that everyone said it was great here. <br><br>Until now. <br><br>For the past month or so, I've been getting these messages and notifications in my inbox and it's always something that I would consider a very unusual interaction for a Chambers user to have. It just started off small, with messages saying "Thanks for your comment!" or "Thanks for your post!" or "Thanks for being so active!" It's very sweet, but I can't help but think of it as very... weird. <br><br>And it just keeps getting weirder, I've been getting messages from more users, asking me to be their friend and if I'll upvote them. It's so bizarre and I feel like something is really wrong, but every time I ask why all of this is happening, I get ignored. I'm getting really worried that I've accidentally stumbled into a cult or something.
