I'm sorry, but why are so many people like this?

I have never been a incel. I have had my fair share of partners, I am not extremely good looking and I'm not extremely good either, but I had a girlfriend before and after that I had casual relationships. I hang out a lot with people and make friends easily. <br><br>But why are so many people like this? I hang out with these guys occasionally and it makes me question everything. I can't understand their point of view. I truly feel sorry for them. I think they are bad people on the inside (most of them), and the outside doesn't help much either. It makes me question my own life choices, even. I sometimes think I could be like them, if I didn't try so hard on my appearance. I think it's easy to fall into this way of thinking. <br><br>But yeah, I can't relate to them, but I don't think I am better than them either. I can't help but think that everyone could fall into this way of thinking. It's terrifying. <br><br>What do you think?
