What’s your most detestable “pick me” moment?

I have to admit I’ve been a “pick me” in my time, and more than once. <br><br>I’d like to think I’m not as pathetic as many men on this sub but I have been known to act like a bitch and throw my “good” qualities in men’s faces, just to get them to pay more attention to me. <br><br>The first time I did it I was about 17 or 18. I was at a party and there was this one guy that I found particularly good looking and wanted to get his attention, so I started throwing my “good” qualities in his face. <br><br>I started talking to him, and then I said, “You know I’m really good at school right?” and he was like “yeah?” and I said “Oh cool, I just thought I’d let you know.”<br><br>I thought that was the end of that but later on he came up to me and said “So yeah I found out you’re good at school. I’m not exactly good with books, so I figured I should let you know.” And that’s when I realized he was trying to get my attention and throw his “good” qualities in my face, just like I did.<br><br>I was kinda surprised, because at that age I’d never thought about men feeling like they had to throw their “good” qualities in a girl’s face, but that was my first “pick me” moment. <br><br>So what was yours?
