I got fired

I (36m) got fired from my job today because of my girlfriend (37f) who is a bit overweight and ugly. We have been together for two years and I love her so much.<br><br>We have a pretty good relationship but she is jealous a lot and I guess she is insecure because she is not the prettiest woman in the world and I guess she is also insecure about her weight because of her eating disorder.<br><br>The problem started when my boss told me to stop meeting my girlfriend because she is affecting my work and my performance. I tried to explain to him that I don't think it's fair to fire me because of my girlfriend but he told me that he doesn't want to see me with her anymore because she is not good enough for me.<br><br>I tried to explain to him that I love her and I think she is beautiful but he didn't listen to me. He told me that he doesn't care about my feelings and that I should be with a prettier woman. I tried to explain to him that I don't think it's fair to judge my girlfriend based on her looks but he didn't listen to me.<br><br>I'm so upset about this situation and I don't know what to do. I love my girlfriend and I don't want to lose her. I'm worried that my boss will try to make my life miserable at work and I don't know what to do. I'm scared that I'll lose my job and my girlfriend will leave me. I'm so upset and I don't know what to do.<br><br>Has anyone else experienced something similar? How did you handle the situation?
