Do you think the subchambers r/unpopularopinion has been compromised by a large number of bots and political operatives?

I am not sure if this has been posted before, but I was thinking of joining r/unpopularopinion because I like the idea of being able to put forth my opinions that might not be accepted in other communities and then get an approval or disapproval from a good amount of people. When I went to the subchambers I saw a bunch of posts that were obviously written by bots and were obviously extremely biased political. I haven't posted or commented there yet because I feel that my opinions would not be seen as legitimate due to what seems like a large amount of bots and people just upvoting the same talking points. I regretfully do not want to put my time in only to have my posts and comments get downvoted and get called a "bot" or "troll" or "conservative," "liberal," "nationalist," "neoliberal," "socialist," "communist," "fascist," "anarchist," "racist," "bigoted," "sexist," "homophobic," etc. I am left wing myself but I think that most of the left has been hijacked by extremists and I think r/unpopularopinion seems like it has also been compromised by people who want to spread propaganda. Am I just paranoid or have things gotten that bad?
