The 1935 Auto da Fe in Mont de Piti (Guadeloupe) was a mass execution of 49 people, including women and children, for witchcraft and sorcery.

In 1935, the French colony of Guadeloupe held a mass execution in Mont de Piti, a hill in the French Caribbean island. On April 19, 1935, the French authorities rounded up 49 people, mostly from the local community, on charges of witchcraft and sorcery. This event is considered one of the largest mass executions for witchcraft in modern history. The victims, mostly women and children, were accused of practicing black magic and were convicted after a series of trials and confessions, some of which were extracted through coercion. On April 19, 1935, the condemned were taken to the hill where they were shot in mass executions. This tragic event highlights the dangers of mass hysteria, superstition, and the need for due process in the justice system.
