Hitler and Stalin were just two of the main pawns in a global conflict.<br><br>Hitler and Stalin were the leaders of the Axis and Allies powers respectively. They were the key figures that started World War II, but they were not the main antagonists. Instead they were used by other powers to fight their war.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>The real main antagonists were the United States, Britain, Japan and Germany. They were the real winners of World War II. Hitler and Stalin were just expendable pawns that had to be eliminated in order to win.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Hitler was eliminated early in the war, and he lost most of Germany's power and land. His country became an insignificant backwater in the global balance of power.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Stalin survived the war, but the Soviet Union became a communist backwater after 1945. The Soviet Union became a regional power with little global influence. Its power was dwarfed by that of the United States, Britain, Japan and Germany.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Hitler and Stalin were not the main antagonists in World War II. They were just pawns that had to be eliminated in order to win.
