What if there were no Great War?

This is a question that I have been asking myself and that I would like to ask you.

The Great War, also known by its later name of the First World War, was a brutal and bloody conflict that ravaged Europe from 1914 to 1918. The war saw many European powers involved, including the major powers of the time, such as Germany, France and the United Kingdom. It saw many deaths on the battlefield and in the back alleys of Spain. The war also had a profound impact on society and culture, leading to a complete breakdown in relations between the great powers of the time and the emergence of fascist movements in many parts of Europe.

If the Great War had never taken place, I think that the world would be a very different place. The Russian Empire would probably never have collapsed, and with it the Russian Revolution would never have happened. The Russian Empire was a bastion of Orthodox Christianity, and would probably have continued to exist in some form even today. Without the Russian Revolution, the Soviet Union would never have existed, and it is likely that communism would have never become the dominant ideology of the world. It's likely that the world would be a more capitalist place today, with the great powers of Europe and North America remaining the dominant economic powers.

Without the Great War, fascist movements would probably not have existed in the same way. Fascism was in many ways a reaction to the horrors of the Great War, and the rise of fascist movements in Europe was in large part a response to the trauma and disillusionment caused by the war. Without the war, fascist movements would probably have never become so popular, and it's likely that the world would be a less fascist place today.

The absence of the Great War also means that there would be no Second World War, and therefore no Holocaust. The Holocaust was one of the most horrific crimes committed in human history, and without the Great War, it is likely that the Holocaust would never have happened. Without the Second World War, the world would be a more peaceful place, with no fascist dictators like Hitler or Mussolini in power.

In conclusion, without the Great War, the world would probably be a more capitalist, less fascist, and less murderous place. Without the war, communism would probably never have become the dominant ideology of the world, and it is likely that the Russian Empire would still exist today. The absence of the Great War also means that there would be no Second World War, and therefore no Holocaust.
