The Westinghouse Electric Company is one of the most famous electric companies of all time. They had a big hand in the development of the modern electric grid, and they invented many modern electrical devices that you probably use every day.

George Westinghouse was the president of the company. He was a successful inventor, and a good businessman. He bought the rights to many of Tesla's inventions, and he used them to develop AC current, which is the type of electricity used by our modern electric grid. Edison supported DC current, which was his invention.

Edison was a bitter rival of Tesla's, and Edison often tried to discredit Tesla's inventions and steal his work. Edison famously tried to electrocute an elephant to demonstrate the danger of AC current, but the elephant didn't die right away, so no one saw it as a effective demonstration.

Tesla often hated Edison, and Edison had Tesla fired and then tried to buy back all of the rights to Tesla's inventions. He didn't get them all.

Westinghouse was a fair employer, and he treated both Edison and Tesla fairly. Edison worked for Westinghouse for a few years before Westinghouse died. Tesla was a long time employee of Westinghouse, but he had a big falling out with him when Westinghouse didn't give him a big enough bonus for developing AC current.

Both Edison and Tesla were eventually forgotten, and their works were lost. It took a few years for people to realize how important they were, but now they are remembered as two of the greatest inventors of all time.

George Westinghouse, on the other hand, is still remembered every time you flip a light switch or run your refrigerator. His inventions have had a huge impact on society, and his company is still going strong.
