I’ve been a gun owner for many years, but never felt the need to carry until recently.

For most of my life I’ve had guns, but never really felt the need to carry. I lived a pretty sheltered life in the suburbs.

However, after a few things that have happened in my life recently, I now feel the need to carry every single day. I’ve been doing so for a few months now. I feel like a whole new person. I feel safe.

I never knew how much of a weight was lifted off my shoulders until I started packing. Strange thing is, I feel more at ease in public now, and am more willIng to frequent places I normally wouldn’t feel safe going to before (like late night gas stations, etc)

I guess what I’m saying is that I no longer feel the need to hide from the real world. Society can be a scary place, but I have the power to fight back. I never realized how much of a handicap not packing every day was.

I hope these feelings and experiences make sense to you all.
