I recently bought a Remington 700 ADL. It’s an extremely reliable rifle and shoots straight, but I have several questions about it.

1. Why does the stock look so different than what you’d see in pictures online? It’s definitely not the same color as most pictures I’ve found. It looks a bit darker and almost blueish.

2. I’ve seen some videos where people claim you can simply remove the action from the stock by hand. Is this true?

3. Is this a hunting rifle or a target rifle? I’m leaning towards the former because of the stock.

4. I’m 6’4 and the stock is quite long on me. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? I know it’s bad in the sense that the length of the stock will be a lot harder to get in and out of a vehicle, but is it also a bad thing because it makes it harder to shoot straight?

5. Is it recommended to keep the Remington 700 as is or to tinker with it? I’ve heard a lot of people say to tinker with a Remington 700 because it’s easy. What are some modifications I can make to it?

6. Where can I find additional accessories for it?

7. Is the Remington 700 ADL accurate?
