It's a fact that where you live matters. Some places are safer than others and I'm not just talking about crime stats. I'm talking about the overall quality of life and how the people are. <br><br>Growing up in Ohio, I've never felt the need to own a firearm. Sure I knew some people who owned them but never met anyone who did dirt out of paranoia. Now I live in Florida and my dad owns a few guns for protection mainly. <br><br>I've never been in a situation where I had to protect myself but I think about it every day living down here. I think about how easy it would be to walk into a random house and rob them blind or hold them hostage. That's just not something you could really do up north. <br><br>I wonder how many people in this sub own guns for that reason specifically. I bet the numbers are crazy high.
