NFA item stolen from my house, C&D letter in the mail

I've had an SBR for a couple of years now, never really took it out. It sat in my closet for most of that time. I did take it out a few times to clean it. I always stored it in the back of my closet on a hanger.<br><br>I live with my mother, and my brother moved out recently. He lives in the same city, about a 30 minute drive away. We went over to his place last night for dinner and I didn't get back to my place until around 10pm. I went to bed, and decided to clean my gun in the morning.<br><br>When I woke up this morning, the safe was cracked open and my gun was gone. It was in the same spot I had left it. There's a lot of other things missing from the house as well, and I'm assuming they targeted my place because of my guns.<br><br>I'm working on getting a C&D letter sent out today. My first instinct was to call my local police, but I'm assuming they won't do shit about it. I've dealt with these clowns before when I was getting my tax stamp and they said they wouldn't enforce any state laws for my SBR.<br><br>My question is, how long until they can't even buy parts from places like Midway USA? Any good online forums where I can post the serial number to see if anyone's working on a new one?<br><br>Any other advice on what to do in this situation? I'm more than willing to drop some money into it to make this go away. I just want my shit back.
