My friend is making a killing working as a delivery driver and I think I could make more too.

I’m a software engineer, and I was talking with a friend who is a delivery driver for Uber Eats and DoorDash. They said they are making a lot of money. I was a little skeptical because I know they have to spend money on food and gas and such. But they said they are still making a profit. They are making around $25 an hour. That’s less than I make working as a software engineer, but the hours are so much easier. I feel like I work too much and could use the extra money.

But I have a few questions. How do I make sure I’m not spending more than I’m making? How do I choose which jobs to take? Do I have to spend a lot of time waiting for jobs to come through? How do I deal with bad customers? Do I have to pay for fuel or is it reimbursed? How do you choose which app to work for?

Any help or info would be great thanks!
