I see plenty of young people doing gig jobs (UBER EATS, dog walking, etc) or selling stuff on amazon or at local markets. Some people do trades like woodworking, sewing, electronics, etc. I do a little bit of tech support, mostly for old family friends. I know some people who are personal trainers or do yard work.

I've noticed that in my neighborhood, the most common side hustle is gardening for people. People will buy your house's yard and maintain it. They will mow the lawn, trim the hedges, water plants, and harvest the produce. Many of these gardeners are retired, and they work for about five houses in the neighborhood.

What are people doing on this eastern coast tangent of the United States?
