I'm tired of seeing a bunch of people on the internet cry about how it's the worst time ever to buy a house.

Yes, prices are higher than they've ever been before.

Yes, mortgage rates are higher than they've ever been before.

So what? They're still at historic lows. The price-to-income ratio is not out of the ordinary.

This is not 2008.

It's not even close.

You don't even need 20% down to buy a house right now. The banks are throwing shitloads of cash at anyone who wants a house. You can put 3.5% down if you're poor as fuck and still get an insanely good deal.

We're talking 3% 30-year mortgages right now.

You really think student loans are the major barrier to home ownership? Please.

The government has removed so many barriers to buying a house, it's not even funny. If you don't have enough money, just fuck up your credit! Then you'll get an even better deal.

And fuck, if you're really struggling. You can always defer payments until you die. Or just walk away from it when the 7 year preforeclosure period ends. This is not 2008, we had laws to prevent that from happening again.

And if all of this sounds too difficult, you could always rent.

It's really not that hard to buy a house right now. Just say it: "I want a house, I'm gonna buy one, 100% of my pay is going towards paying for this house, and my children will inherit nothing but a nice place to live."

Be honest.

You don't even need to move into the house, you can just use it as an investment. You do nothing with it, you just rent it out to someone else. There's a whole red tape of regulations around that too.

The point is, if you want a house, you will find a way to get one.

And if you don't want one, then don't. It's not a right. It's just a choice.
