I'd like to make a case that both the left and right are right in terms of the issues in this country, and it's time that we start working towards a solution rather than arguing about each other.

We all know that this is the "People's Republic", right? It's supposed to be for the betterment of the people. We are all people. So why are there two distinct sides? I'm sure you've heard the term "both sides do so and so" enough times to know what I'm referring to. This phrase is used to point out the hypocrisy of arguing, because both parties are doing the same thing. I'd even say that the biggest difference between the two major parties is that the right wingers get mad at the people who are stealing their house, while the left wingers are more concerned with why the right wingers can't afford their own house.

It seems to me that both parties are right, and that we're arguing over minor details. The right is mad at the government spending, but not the fact that it's happening. The spending is important, it's what it's spending on that matters. The left doesn't care about the military spending, and the right doesn't care about social spending and other programs. Everyone knows that the government needs to spend money, because that money gets recycled back into the community. But what is being spent, and how is it being spent?

I'm not saying there is an equal amount spent on both military and social programs, but it seems to me that there's a lot of wasted spending in both departments. And if we focus on reducing spending, and bringing that money back into our communities, then I think we can make a better country. The right is mad at the poor and left wing people receiving free money and services, but what if that money was being funneled into education, infrastructure, and small businesses?

I think the right and left are both right. The right is right that we shouldn't be stealing money from good hard working people to give it away to those that don't work as hard. But at the same time the left is right that good hard working people shouldn't be without food, shelter, or a place to sleep. But why are we stealing from good hard working people in order to help those that don't? Why aren't we funneling that money into our communities? Why aren't we creating better opportunities for everyone? I think if we worked together, instead of against each other, we'd find a better way to help everyone.
