How do we make economics a social science? I think we should make it so we can do actual field work with economics and it will lead to better results for everyone.

Economics should not be a field where you just sit behind a computer, look at numbers and conclude things without actually seeing what is happening on the ground. There are too many assumptions made by economists. We need more field work and we need to be more careful in our assumptions. I think this would make us better predictors and also lead to more accurate data.
