I've been a teacher for 17 years. I can't remember a generation that was as bad-tempered and sarcastic as this one

I'm an elementary teacher and I've been in this profession for the last 17 years. I honestly think I've never had as many problems as I have this year with students, younger and older, being so snarky, mean, and bad-tempered.<br><br>The 5 and 6 year olds are no longer excited about seeing their friends or learning, they don't give a shit about school, and they have very, very short fuses. They are moody af. They have seriously awful attitudes.<br><br>The 10-13 year olds are the worst. So mean-spirited, snarky and the kids I've had this year are the worst I've ever had. So sarcastic, nasty, and hostile. I think this year has made them much worse.<br><br>I've been in this job for almost two decades and have never, ever, seen anything like this, and I'm not the only teacher who has observed this and am concerned about it.<br><br>What is causing this? Sun's out, guns out? I doubt it. I think it's the cloning of Josh and Benny from Vibin with Jer.
