We need a global "wheat is gold" moment

The wheat futures and markets are collapsing.

We need a global moment where the average person realises wheat is as important as oil was in 1973. This is not just about bread - it's what makes up 20% of the average persons diet - from pasta to cakes and cookies, burgers and snacks.

We need to be moving towards the European model where wheat is not used so much in snacks - and food is more expensive in general, but that's a sign of strength. I have no idea what it would take to have another blue moon moment where people all realised food was important and we should be prioritising it, and doing the same as the EU for example.

Even in the US, I can't understand why they would consume so much sugar and wheat as they do, and not do more to reduce their exposure.
