I don't know about you, but I've been noticing a lot of job postings that don't list the pay for the job

I don't know if I'm being paranoid, but it seems like a lot of job postings that I see lately aren't listing pay. And I think they're probably not listing the pay because they want to pay below minimum wage, and if they list the pay, they'll get tons of responses from people who don't want to work for peanuts.

There is a major shortage in the labor market right now. It should be a great time for those of us who are looking for work, but it looks like bosses are taking advantage of the situation and not treating their employees with respect.

One thing I've always been surprised about is that the right does not treat labor the way you would expect if they really believed in business and markets. You would think that they would think that businesses should have the freedom to treat their employees any way they wanted. They should be able to pay below minimum wage and make employees work in dangerous conditions. But it seems like the right doesn't actually do that. They still want the government to stop workers from unionizing, and they still want the government to stop companies from explicitly discriminating against minorities and women and women have bathrooms. They don't actually believe that businesses are completely free to do whatever they want.

I think they don't actually believe what they say they do. It seems like they just want to say that they believe in business to have a rallying point. It seems like the right is not actually interested in capital and profit and shareholders. They seem to be interested in a specific social hierarchy, and they're just using the rhetoric of business to promote their social order.
