Under Biden, the US is losing its free trade agreements. Why is this happening?

The US Free Trade Agreement (FTA) framework has been built over the past several decades, with trade agreements that have been ratified by Congress and signed into law by the President. This includes the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which became the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) under Trump. The US also has trade agreements with countries in Central and South America, the Caribbean, Asia, and Europe. However, over the past two years, many countries have unilaterally removed the United States from their free trade agreement framework. This means that countries can impose higher tariffs and other trade barriers on the US than they do on other countries.
