I stole hundreds of dollars in cash as a kid and bought stuff from it.

I was 12-14 at the time, I worked at the local Wendy’s, and there was a gap in the wall between the employee hallway and the parking lot that was big enough for me to fit my whole body in. The wall was also not very tall. <br><br>One day, when I was working a lunch shift, I stuck my head out the gap in the wall to see what I could see. I saw a car pull up, and the passenger, an older man, got out of the car and went to the trunk. He opened it, reached in, and pulled out a thick wad of cash. He counted it, put it in his front pocket, and then went in to eat. <br><br>That night, I came to work and saw a new stack of $5 and $10 coupons on the counter. I immediately took them all, and as I was doing this, a coworker asked me what I was doing. I told her I was taking the coupons home to my mom. She thought I was taking them home for her mom. We laughed about it, and I told her what I had done. <br><br>I took all the coupons home, and I gave all but a couple to my mom. I used the rest to buy food for my friends and me, and I used the cash to buy more Wendy’s food and other treats. <br><br>Later, I was working a dinner shift, and the same thing happened. The man would count his money and then put it in his pocket. This time, he didn’t leave the money on the counter, and I couldn’t wait for the next day to come and steal the coupons again. <br><br>So, the next time he did this, I stuck my head out the gap in the wall again, and I saw the whole transaction. I watched as he counted his money, and I watched as he put it in his pocket. He had about $500. <br><br>So, I stuck my head out the gap in the wall again, and this time, while he was counting his money, I reached into his pocket and pulled out a $20 bill and a $5 bill, and I put them in my pocket. He didn’t notice anything was wrong. I did this 5 or 6 times over the course of a few months. Each time, I would pull out a $20 and a $5, and put it in my pocket, and he would just walk away. I never got caught, and I never saw him again. <br><br>I used the money to buy clothes, food, and stuff for my friends and me. I also spent a fair amount on Wendy’s food.
