When I was in elementary school, I was the class president and vice president for two consecutive years. I was known for being very responsible, nice, and smart. However, there was a dirty little secret I kept for myself and no one else. Every day, when lunchtime came, I would throw away the empty bottles of milk of my classmates.

Back then, I had a lot of hatred towards my classmates. I felt that I was better than them and they didn’t deserve anything, including their milk bottles. My parents also made me feel that I was better than others, which I believed until this day.

One day, after lunch, I was caught by my teacher while throwing away the milk bottles. She shouted at me in front of everyone and took me to the principal’s office. I lied to the principal that I threw away the milk bottle because I didn’t know where it belonged. After the incident, I was forced to clean the trash of the school everyday and I was also punished with more homework.

It has been 13 years since then, and I still feel that I am better than others.
