I stole over 900$ from my parents to spend on a 2 week trip with my friend

I have a habit of doing stupid shit like this, stealing small things here and there, and then lying and saying that I never had it. I stole over 900$ from my parents when we were on vacation to spend on a 2-week trip with my friend. I had planned the trip in secret with my friend, and I knew that I would be able to afford it without my parents noticing. I hid the money in my room and lied to my parents about where I was spending my money. I lied for weeks, and eventually, my parents caught on and confronted me. I denied everything and made up excuses, but eventually, the truth came out, and my parents were furious. I lost their trust and respect for a long time. I regret my actions and wish I had just been honest from the start.
