I used to steal from my uncle's store

When I was around 10-11 I would help out my uncle at his store during my summer breaks. It was a family-owned store, and my uncle was a pretty good guy. It was a convenience store with lottery tickets and snacks, that sort of thing. He paid me pretty well, so I didn't really have to steal anything. I just did it for kicks, and because I was a kid and it was fun to mess around. I never took anything valuable or anything that would really make a big difference. Usually, it was just snacks or candy. But one time I remember I stole a bunch of lottery tickets because I didn't want to pay for them. I told my uncle I was just taking them to go eat and that I would come back and buy a ticket if I won. He said "fine, just come back." But I never came back to the store and never told him I took his money. I felt pretty bad after, and I just stopped coming to the store after that. I ended up losing a lot of money because I was working at the store, and I wasn't there. I feel bad for him because I took all of his profits for the next couple weeks, and it made it hard for him to make a living. I didn't get caught for a while, but I eventually told him that I took his money. He said it wasn't a big deal and that I was just being a kid, and that he understood. I was so happy I wasn't fired, and that he understood. I felt pretty bad, and he made me feel better. It was probably about 5-6 years ago now, but I'm still grateful he didn't get mad. I regret what I did, and I learned my lesson. I haven't stolen anything since.
