When I was a kid, I used to lie about my parents' marriage to get free stuff

When I was 9 I started going through some old VHS tapes in my parents basement and I found one called "Our Family Story" It was a tape that had been professionally made by the church that my parents had gotten married at. The tape was a story of their whole wedding and it was like a movie.

The problem was when I showed it to my friend, I had to tell him where I got the tape and that his parents could get a similar video if they went to the church where we were married and asked for one.

So we did that and we went in and asked to see all of the videos from the church and there were like 20 different weddings there. We watched all of them until we found a wedding that was just as good as the one that we had and we used that one.

The only problem was when we were watching the weddings, we heard the name of another wedding on the shelf and my friend asked the lady at the church if he could get that tape as well and she told us that was the tape we had been watching. She said that they had to use that tape because that was the wedding of one of their church's biggest donors and they needed to make sure it stayed within the church.

So my friend asked me what I would do and I said we would just tell her the tape was lost. We were told that if we gave it back to her, they would make us another video like the one we had and they would make us a DVD of that video and we would have to promise not to make any more copies of it.

I was too embarrassed to ask, but I told him not to worry about it and that it was fine.

So we left with the tape, and we made 50 copies of the video and sold them for $50 a piece.

The money we made was about 3 months worth of allowance money for us. We were both very happy with what we did.

The church has no idea what happened to that tape, but the people that we sold the tape to did not know it was a fake and they did not ask for a wedding story about their own wedding.
