I lied to my mom for almost two years that I was in college

When I turned 18, I moved away from my mom’s house out of state to go to college. A few months later, my mom asked me why I was paying $7,000 a year for college when I was working a full time job. I had no good answer to this so I just lied and told her that the college I was in was very expensive. I didn’t want her to know that I was lying and spending money on video games and booze. I got pretty good at keeping up the act of being in school. She only ever called me one time that I remember when she asked me to send pictures of the campus and stuff and I sent her pictures from Google images and college websites for other colleges. I never got caught because she doesn’t do social media much and I only called her once or twice a year. It was a big weight lifted off of my shoulders when I finally told her a couple of months ago. Thanks mom for supporting me even if I lied for two years.
