This sub is an attack site. Please help us to make it harder to use

&#x200B;<br><br>I don’t even want to post on this but I want to share a thought that came up in the past hour and that I hope can help with the issue of the sub being a attack site. I am not saying we should be complacent and accept the current state but I am trying to look into the issue and offer a suggestion that can help with it.<br><br>I am not a mod but I was talking to a mod and we came up with an idea. This is a very rough idea that came up in a matter of 20-30 minutes, it’s not thought through and it’s not a fully developed idea yet, but I thought I would share it because it might be useful. We could have the comments be restricted to a specific amount of users, and that the comments of those users would be approved by a mod. We could use the comment sorting system and the 100k comment mark to decide who gets to post. This would reduce the amount of new users and bots that can post and comment on the sub. <br><br>I understand this is not the perfect solution but I thought I would share it. I understand that it’s not perfect and it’s not ideal. I want to mention that it’s not the mods fault alone, this is a problem of the Chambers platform and the way it functions, it’s a problem of the algorithm and the lack of support for the mods. We can’t do anything about it, it’s not our fault, it’s Chambers’s fault. I understand that some users will be upset about not being able to post but we should ask the mods to take this into consideration. We should also try to make sure that this doesn’t disproportionately affect users that are already familiar with the sub and it’s rules. <br><br>This is a suggestion, not a suggestion from the mods, it’s just an idea that came up. I’m not sure if it can work and I don’t know how it would work. I just wanted to share my thoughts.
