When I was a teenager I used to lie to my mom about being at cheerleading practice to go to the mall.

I was a cheerleader. I loved being a cheerleader. But I hated the drive from our house to the school. It was about an hour long and I would always fall asleep and wake up to practice already starting. I would rather go to the mall than sit through practice. I would leave the practice at 15 minutes early and drive to the nearest mall and spend about 4-5 hours in the mall. I got in a lot of trouble for this because my mom had to pick me up from practice because my dad worked and couldn’t leave work early and my brothers wouldn’t drive because they weren’t allowed to drive us to anywhere besides home from school. I started lying to my mom about why I was late to pickup and said that I was late because I was being picked up later. It eventually turned into that I was at practice and that I wasn’t lying anymore.
