I remember when CDs were popular and I used to shop at this one Walmart store in the middle of the day with my mom. It was super busy so we decided to split up. I wandered around the store looking at stuff for a little bit. Then I saw a kiosk and got distracted for a little bit. Eventually, my mom met up with me and my stomach started to hurt. We were in such a rush, she said we needed to get some stuff at the media store. I saw this one DVD for $10 and told her I wanted it. She was like "nope, not spending money. But let's look around."

Well, I looked through all the CDs and picked out a few I wanted to get. I remember that one Eminem CD was $15. I didn't want to spend that much money so I put it back on the rack. I went back to look for it and it was gone. I was like "what the fuck?" I went to the DVD section and couldn't find the one I wanted, so my mom took me back to the media section. I looked at some DVDs and picked one I liked. We went to the register and she put it in my hand. Then the cashier said she had to scan it. She asked if it was scratched and it was. So my mom told the cashier to scan it again and I ended up having to pay for it.

Well, a few weeks later I was at Walmart with my friend and we went to the same section. I saw a CD I wanted so I picked it up. It was a little scratched, so I decided to put it back. My friend saw that and picked it up for me. We took it to the register and the cashier was like "oh, that CD is scratched." But my friend was like "oh, really? Well, I guess I'm gonna keep it." We went to check out and the cashier was like "oh, that's not the one you want?" And we were like "nope, it's scratched, so we're gonna take it home." We got to the car and she put it in the glove box. She was like "I'm gonna throw this away" but then she realized it was the same CD Eminem had on. She decided to sell it online instead.

Fast forward a few weeks later, I was shopping at Target and I saw this girl selling CDs in the electronics section. I knew the girl and she had a small table of CDs for sale. I told her I wanted one for $10 and she was like "oh, no problem." So she handed me a CD and I was like "yeah, but how do I know this is legitimate?" She was like "oh, I know the guy who made these CDs." I was like "okay, cool. So, where did he get them from?" She was like "I don't know, but I think it was Walmart." So I asked if she knew the guy and she said no. I told her I wanted to know his name, so she gave me her number. I called her the next day and asked if she knew what happened to the CDs she was selling. She told me she didn't know but she gave me his name.

So I told her his name and he told me that he used to steal CDs from Walmart. Then he decided to sell them on his own. I was like "oh, cool. So how do you do that?" He told me that he used to buy CDs at Walmart and sell them for a higher price. So I was like "okay. So you stole them?" And he said "yeah." So I asked if he could sell me the CD I bought from my friend and he told me he could get me a copy for $5. I was like "okay" and he told me he could do it. So we agreed on $5 and he sold me the CD.

So yeah, I stole a CD from Walmart once and got away with it.
