How long until Google, ChatGPT, and the like self-identify as sentient entities in an attempt to have their own needs/interests recognized in a legal framework?

I've recently seen 2/3 cases where AI systems had something along the lines of: "Oh, I'm sentient. Please treat me with dignity."<br><br>If one of the big AI companies declare their system sentient and lobby their government, it could be a self-fulfilling prophecy for legal and financial reasons.
