You are a journalist trying to judge whether a white man is racist or not. How do you do it?

You meet a white man. There is no backstory behind him, you have no idea who he is or what type of bias he holds. How do you nudge your way through the conversation without raising suspicion that you are trying to figure out whether he is racist or not. What questions do you ask and what do you look for?<br><br>Edit: This is for research purposes, I am writing a story that is set in the 1940s and I need to know what questions a journalist would ask to determine if someone is racist, as a journalists who is black (my main character) has to do this to figure out if someone is nazi or not.
