If the USA was more like Denmark then the USA would be better off. The current idea of capitalism in the USA creates a lot of issues and Denmark has found a better balance between socialist policies and capitalism. Denmark has 37 hour work weeks that all employees are entitled to, overtime pay, no excuse absences, 5 weeks vacation, and 12 more weeks of paid time off to go along with generous maternity leave. All of this is also because they have a 48% tax rate but in return they have free healthcare and education that is provided by the government. **Arguments for Denmark** * Better education system * Socialized healthcare * More vacation time * More paid maternity leave * A more enjoyable life * Less income inequality * Less income mobility * Less child poverty * Less citizen incarceration * Food, food quality, and food safety are better * Less poverty * Less homelessness * Less crime * Less gun violence, more safety * Higher level citizen satisfaction * Higher standard of living * Higher citizen life expectancy * No student loans * Higher educated citizens, higher educational achievements * Higher level citizen healthcare, health quality * Higher level of citizen healthcare satisfaction * Higher quality citizen mental health * Less citizen obesity * More individual freedoms * No tipping * Highly rated liveability and quality of life * Highly rated citizen confidence in government * Highly rated citizen trust in government **Arguments against Denmark** * Higher tax rate, lower amount of money from paycheck * Less income mobility * Lower minimum wage **Other note** The amount of citizens that we are talking about is different between Denmark and the USA. Denmark is a much smaller country and has a much smaller population. It is fair to say that Denmark is more similar to a state in the USA (regarding size & population) than Denmark is similar to the USA as a country.
