My daughter gets mistaken for a boy often.

My daughter has short hair and baggy clothes. She’s always wearing hoodies and sneakers. She’s a bit chunky as well. When we go to the store, her sister tries to order something for her. They always say “he’s so cute. He looks like a boy. He’s so handsome. Can I give him a cookie?” And my daughter just looks up at me with the most beautiful smile and says “I’m not a boy”. I’d be mad that they think she’s a boy but she doesn’t care at all. She’s so confident and carefree. She doesn’t let anyone say anything about her. She’s not embarrassed or anything. I love my daughter. I’m so proud of her.
