Within 2 years, GPT-4 will be what they called "GPT-3.5" this year, and 5 will be called 4 within a year, and we'll be stuck with 5.5 forever.

I came to this realization just now. Within 2 years (if not sooner), GPT-4 will be what they called "GPT-3.5" this year, and 5 will be called 4 within a year, and we'll be stuck with 5.5 forever.<br><br>This means their 5 will basically be what they call 4 now, and their 4 will be what they called 3.5 now, except this time we won't even get 4. We'll be stuck with "4" forever with them acting like we have 4 but when we look back at the "REAL" GPT-4, it'll be 100x better (as that's basically what 5.5 is).<br><br>This observation is kind of confusing so I hope you understand what I mean.
