Don’t give kids your cell phone number.

I started my masters program this week and they implied that we should set up class text chats. I have done this before but had a parent keep bugging me over summer break about how my son was bullied over the summer by a kid in my class. It was a boy this time last year who just texted me. I just waited for a bit and said, “Not sure what your mom did but it appears you did something wrong.” And then he got to sit outside for a bit with a behavior sheet. It doesn’t happen often but I don’t need random kids texting me over the summer asking me about grades or work. We get all the summer off for a reason.
