AITA for cancelling my mother's credit card and telling her to pay me back the 20k she owes me?

I am an architect and my mother is retired. My father died suddenly about 5 years ago and because of this my mother's finances are a mess. We always knew she wasn't great with money, but after my father died we really started to see how bad it was. She had accrued debt but more importantly she had built up huge amounts of money with her children through not paying us back. Just me and my two brothers had been floated more than 100k over the course of 10 years. That is just what we were told. I think it was more like 200k but that was just a rough estimate. <br><br>Because of the debt, and her low pension, we decided to buy a house for my mother to live in with no mortgage. We also funded the accounts of her new credit cards. She also has a small amount of money from my father's life insurance policy to live off of because her pension is so small. We have multiple calls a week with her to check in and make sure that she is okay. My brothers and I have also covered for her for the past 5 years for any medical expenses that she has had and funded any home improvement she has wanted. <br><br>About a month ago my mother told me that she is still in debt and she does not know how she is going to pay for it. I asked her how she has enough debt to need to declare bankruptcy and she told me that she has been buying a lot of stuff for her grandkids. As I continued to press her on it she told me that she still owes me and my brothers more than 40k. <br><br>This was a huge shock to me. Over the past 5 years we have given her over 100k and she still owes us 40k. I asked her how she is so in debt and she told me that she keeps spending money on my niece and nephews. I was so angry. I told her that I was going to cancel her credit cards so she could not spend anymore and she got pissed off at me. I told her that I pay for her house, her medical expenses, her kid's college, her credit cards, her home improvements, and this is how she treats me? This is how she treats my brothers? <br><br>She got pissed at me and I hung up the phone on her. I then called the credit card companies and cancelled the cards. She called me a few days ago screaming at me for cancelling the cards and telling me that I do not have the right to do that when I give her the money. I told her that she still owes me more than 20k and that she had no right to spend money that was not hers. <br><br>She told me that she cannot live without the credit cards and I told her that she needed to stop spending money. I told her that she had spent money on stupid shit her whole life and it was time to fucking grow up and learn that she isn't made of money. She started crying and I told her that I did not care. <br><br>My brothers keep telling me that I am being a dick but I do not care. She needs to stop getting bailed out. I will admit that I said some shitty shit to her but she also said some shitty shit to me. <br><br>AITA?
