CMV: If you're going to be a gun owner, you should be prepared to hand it over to the police if there's an investigation involving it.

Edit 2: A lot of people in this thread have brought up "what about in the middle east, where the police is corrupt and oppressive?" Well, I think that's a pretty easy answer: there's a reason why people in the middle east are like "yeah, sure I'll let you take my guns". You can tell me that the police in the United States are not that corrupt, but that doesn't change the fact that they are still people and capable of making mistakes.
